Clifford Christensen's Story – Condensed

It was around 1971 that I got a letter from the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cut Bank, Montana, saying that I was disfellowshipped.  I never really wanted to be baptized in the first place.  I did it to please my mother.   After being disfellowshipped, I could not talk to my mother, because when anyone leaves the Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses, it is “business as usual” that the Witnesses must shun them, as if they are dead and no longer exist.  Fortunately for me, my father was a Roman Catholic and I could talk to him.  They are both gone now.

I still have problems with what happened over forty years ago, but I think I've begun to heal.  It is good to see others in my same state of mind, former Jehovah's Witnesses that are on the path to healing, also.

NOTE:  If you are a former or Ex-Jehovah's Witness, who would like to have your case reviewed legally, concerning you or your child having been molested/raped and receiving no assistance from anyone in the Watchtower Society, you can contact William H. Bowen, the founder of  For confidential contact info, check with Admin. in "The Truth Behind Jehovah's Witnesses" group on Facebook.

If you are a former or Ex-Jehovah's Witness in need of counseling concerning you or your child having been molested/raped, please go to the Silent Lambs website for assistance.
