Jeanie Knicely's Story - Condensed

I studied Jehovah's Witness publications from age eleven, until I was fourteen.  I was never baptized, because my dad wouldn't allow it until I was eighteen years old.  I attended the meetings, because I thought I believed it.  Then one Thursday night at the Ministry School,  I was to give a talk on 'Judging.'  I was so excited, and I told my grandma when my talk was scheduled.  She then told me, "I am going to Tennessee that week."  I was crushed.  It hit me then!  I wasn't doing it for myself, I was doing it for her.  I left as soon as I was able to go.

Just six weeks ago, I had to attend a meeting at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses as an open Atheist.  My seven Aunts clearly shunned me.  Not one of them would look at or speak to me.  Then a woman I used to study with got my number.  I think my Aunts got to her and told her about what a horrible Atheist I am.  All is good.  I just clearly now believe that the Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses, a publishing company, masquerading as a religion, is a cult.
